I had the worst experience in the world. No one would help me. This company transferred me many tomes and was on hold for hours. You cant get any help or answers to any questions you want answers too.

I made a purchase of $300 in June, returned a pool that was $150. It’s August and the return isn’t reflecting on my Big Lots credit card!!! I’ve called the credit card company, the local store and your corporate office! No help!!

I’m a long time customer at Big Lots but won’t be anymore. After my experience yesterday I won’t be shopping there. I was put through hell trying to EXCHANGE curtains for a different color. It was past 30 days I did have a receipt. According to the return policy I should have received merchandise credit. But they were insisting on deducting 20% on my return. In the return policy it is stated that 20% will be deducted on returns without receipt. I had my receipt.
I spent hours going back and forth with the person in the store and on hold for customer service. I was finally issued merchandise credit which I purchased the exact same curtains but in a different color. I also made a purchase of over $150 in other products. If big lots is willing to lose a long time customer over an exchange of curtains then that’s fine because that’s what they have done.
I hope this makes it all the way to the top administration.

Good Afternoon All,

On 1/17/22 yesterday evening after 5:00 PM, my family and I( myself, husband and grandkids) visit your Big Lots @ 511 N State Road 7 Royal Palm Beach FL 33411. Not many is West Palm Beach Florida, yet I have this location several, always had excellent service. Purpose of my visit to look at some additional dining chairs and vacuum cleaner to purchase. My grands wanted to visit your toy area, so my husband took them to the location, later I join them . Now as I arrive my grands wanted some items, I told them to put it back because it was too many little pieces make a mess. So as my grands being to put the items back , the Store Manager started yelling at them and pulling the items away from them and saying you heard your parents they are not buying it. My husband and myself was caught off guard because we where standing there. We felt disappointed, discussed, disregard, disrespectful, bad ex from the store manager on his interaction’s, body language, bad communication skills, bad customer service, check the cameras and you will. We had some words because our grands felt that they didn’t Matter. Then the manager said he was talking to them like if they where his because he have kids… No way you should ever people to someone in that manner. He need a courses in How to Communicate with Customers in a Professional Manner… check your cameras. Oops when my husband said that this wrong the store manager threatened us that we can leave the store. We left some items in the shopping cart to exit the store…. Never will I visit the store again, I begin letting family, friends, church members, my social media and my movers & shakers of 80…. Because of the bad apple which is a leader, thank God for some amazing clerks in the furniture department and others was very helpful. Check your cameras it tell it all, my family visit the store to spend money instead we left very hurt and disappointed in the Store Manager actions… we told him to never speak to our grands in the wrong manner, language tone and body language again. Are Family Matters and we have Money. I hope Mr. Bruce Thorn/CEO speak with him. Thank you for reading my email and No way do I want this Manager to contact me. I had to speak with my grands and let them know it wrong what happened, we left and purchased toys somewhere else, that appreciate a customer.
