I rented a vehicle from Budget on Wed. Sept. 22, 2022, my GPS led me down a dark rural route whereon I there was a cow standing waiting on me and I hit her like a brick wall, I am sure I totaled that vehicle and some of the people the town are not very honest people, as in there are laws that require of them to keep their animals on lock down after certain hours so that things like accidents won't be a problem for travelers like myself who might need to come through the area late at night like I did. Point being so after that I needed another vehicle and was scammed by some guy with a heavy Middle Eastern accent, who told me to get an American Express prepaid card and I would be able to get a vehicle from budget. After I did the purchase and gave the numbers to man who id himself as being Mark manager from the Airport in Panama City, FL, I walked into the 8027 Front Beach Rd, location and the budget person behind the desk asked me if he could help me and I said no I was just waiting for a car to be delivered from the airport location. He said who told you that, I said Mark from budget at the airport. He looked and the other guy and they both started laughing, I said what's going on did I miss something? He said that doesn't sound right. I said let me call him and see what's going on. With my phone on speaker I asked when would me vehicle arrive he told me it would be there just wait an hour and see. The worker at that location told me to that doesn't sound like the Mark he knows at the airport and sounds like something else is going on here that's not right, I said you know better then me I am just an interloper who is simply looking for service, I have no idea how this business works. Bottomline is I was scammed by this Mark character after I gave him the numbers from the American Express card he told me to purchase I never did get any vehicle delivered to that address. Those two workers for both Avis and Budget knew I was being scammed and not once did either of them say "mam I suggest you cancel the arrangement for the vehicle and let us help you instead." I want Budget to take responsibility for the scam because I called 334-527-7000, and 844, and another number that is budgets and this Mark guy answered the phone. It's like no one is honest anymore not even the a business owner. I want my money back of course $378.95 because budget should train their employees that when you see something that doesn't appear right or the way they do business like the customer know don't stand there and laugh at them because you know better and they don't, say something like we don't do business the way this guy is doing it.

To say I am disappointed is a vast understatement. I would give zero stars if possible. I am out of state and trying to help family get things wrapped up with family home after recent death in family. Booked two trucks for the brothers in town to be able to pick up (thinking that with Budget have an online system for payment should suffice) but called just to make sure I could add their names for pick up. At the local level, the store manager in Memphis Midtown was completely RUDE and once she got done saying what she thought was enough information hung up in my face when I started to ask a question in terms of next steps/options. I called corporate only to get told that just because you put in the information online doesn't really mean anything and you have to physically be present to pick up & pay, no option to authorize on the phone even or add a family member to pick up. Get with the times please Budget, this is asinine.

I rented Budget Car from TUL Airport on Feb 14th and returned on Feb 18th at the same location. Budget charged me more than double the price and accusing me that the reason for extra charge is because I had dropped the Car in Houston IAH location at 6.39 AM. Even after providing my proof of Travel to Budget per their request, they are still not satisfied and not accepting the fact. I have called customer service and there is nothing they can do about it. This is height of harassments to customer who is giving business to them. Someone from the department should take serious action on this and act fast to resolve this matter.

I rented a vehicle for my graduation in Long Beach, CA. I was guided to the budget facility with wheel chair assistance as well as my elder party. Upon return to return the vehicle, I mentioned to the outside budget representative that my two elders and myself was in need of assistance to the actual entrance of the airport. The young man responded that he couldn’t do that. I asked him to contact his manager. I went to the close enterprise facility who informed me that if I was their customer that they would take me. But the lady went out of her facility and asked a budget manager who was on scene to drive us. During this, I was contacting Southwest Airlines for assistance with negative results. My elders and I entered the same car I had rented while the manager drove us up to the entrance. I had my mobile phone on my lap. I exited the vehicle with my possessions thanking the manager- not realizing that I forgot to grab my phone. I realized that the entrance was still a far walk. So I notice a empty food stand near the curb and this is wear I placed the elders: my stroke victim mother and my older cousin who has several medical issues. This was less than 2 mins when I noticed I didn’t have the phone. Using my mom’s phone, I contacted budget to ask if the manager can swing back around. They told me to hold and when they came back to the phone, they explained there was no phone. I left my mom’s side, using my cane with a back and leg injury managed to go to the window area of budget across from the stand. I asked again for the vehicle to be searched because I knew the phone was in the back seat. I was told that the car could of been rented by now. I responded in the last 5 mins-really! The man said he would radio around and inquire. Another five minutes went by and I was told - no phone was found. I asked where the car was and was told that it was at the service center. I told him to bring the car up for I can search it myself. After telling two representatives of budget who I was; a law enforcement officer, 2 mins later - the phone surfaced. If I can give this location in Long Beach by the airport a zero rating- I would. They are not accommodating to the disabled and they steal! I will continue to let everyone know about your employees! Unbelievable and disheartening!

This was related to the Long Beach Budget at the airport. I forgot to mention the pry marks on my phone in an attempt to remove the secure otterbox cover. Your employees steal!

Flight got diverted to Orlando, so I was ok with paying the extra $45 to pick up my $317 confirmed price. I walked away with a $637 charge. So now i am returning it to the original pick up destination, which i cleared with the desk person. Called customer service yesterday, to confirm this, since it seems they are playing bait and switch, and the agent said it will be another $300. So disappointed with this company. Stay Clear.

I usually use Enterprise but when I price shopped, Budget was cheaper so my friend and I decided to give it a try. We rented the car because we were driving to Laughlin and didn't want to put miles on our cars. The La Habra location is old and grungy looking but we overlooked that. Then we didn't get the car we had asked for which we were pcretty okay with. But when we went to check out the car with the guy that was helping us, it hadn't been cleaned. He stated that it wasn't clean because it had not been back for 24 hours. First of all, there was time to wash and clean before we arrived. Then we had to go back home and get my friends CDL because she forgot it. That gave him another 30 minutes. We were very unhappy with the service. Enterprise is worth the extra money. They are on spot and professional. Budget was a dump and then the dirty car on top of that means we will be sure to never use Budget again. I am requesting money back for this rental. I will also be putting a review on Yelp and Budget website.

Is there a negative amount of stars? I would like to give a negative 5 stars. If your question or concern falls out of compliance within your limited pre-set criterion, there is no recourse to get to a person who can help you let alone answer a question without transferring you.
