Buckle up y'all. We visited the Cracker Barrel in Hampton the first week of December. Here's how it went...
1. It was freezing. EVERYONE wore their jackets the whole time. Staff, diners, managers and servers.
2. Our party included 3 adults. 2 with disabilities. We were served biscuits with no utensils. Finally we were provided 3 forks, 1 spoon and NO knives of any sort. Our biscuits were so cold by then no butter would have ever melted. No drinks yet.
3. Our eggs were so RAW they were translucent. My 22 year old son was served chicken and waffles. A whole boneless fried chicken breast and ice cold waffles that the nearly frozen golf ball sized butter could have never melted. It was so cold it crumbled. Still no knives.
4. He was humiliated when I had to get up and go to his side of the table and cut his food with a FORK and SPOON. My heart broke for him.
5. The manager came to the table with a pitiful apology. His clothes were so dirty we thought he was a bus boy or part of the clean up crew. Then he proudly informed us he actually cooked our eggs himself!
6. I reached out to corporate and have heard NOTHING.
7. My next call will be to the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Organization).
Do Better Cracker Barrel.
