I started work at my neighborhood dollar general about a month ago, I have since quit!!! Horrible horrible management, people working off the clock! Having to clean up human and animal feces almost daily. $14.00 is not enough for that! My hours taken away because at the end of the night the closing "key person" has to count down drawers and I would clean and face shelves until he was done, but evidently I'm supposed to clock out and work not on the clock? I literally could not leave until he was done but expected to clock out!! So my manager took away 2 hours from my normal schedule for the next week! I left and never went back, and they are open till 10 on Christmas Eve!!!! Yeah no not for me sorry, I can see staying open until 5 or 6 but 10 is a little excessive for a holiday. Not a family oriented company at all. So very disappointed 😞 I actually liked the actual job itself!
