We purchased a new LG dryer from Lowes. The laundry room was not quite ready. We plugged it in on the 3rd day after purchase and it did not work. It made a horrible noise and turned itself off after a few seconds. Lowes refused to do anything because it was after their 48 hr deadline. My husband contacted LG because it was brand new and had never dried a load of clothes. Eventually they approved a repairman to come to repair it. He could not. He was instructed to order a new motor which took 4-5 weeks to receive. He came and installed the new motor. The dryer did exactly the same thing...loud noise and shut down in a few seconds. LG was contacted again and he was instructed to order another NEW motor. He was told if that didn't work he should order another part. My husband received an email from LG today stating they had no idea when the motor would be available. THIS IS A BRAND NEW DRYER THAT HAS NEVER DRIED A SINGLE LOAD OF CLOTHES!!! At this point I personally would not recommend purchasing anything that is LG. Yes, they are trying to make it right; but, why not just replace it? IT IS A BRAND NEW DRYER THAT HAS NEVER WORKED!!! I am required to give them 1 star to review their product; otherwise I would not give them even 1 star. They do not stand by their product.

Bought a stove and microwave at the same time. Stove works great. Microwave broke after 3 months. Took 3 weeks to get out here and fix it. Did same thing 2 weeks later. Scrap metal now.

Dear Mr Yoon,

I am writing to you as a last resort as I know that you are a very busy man. I have tried all other avenues, and have met so many road blocks.
We have a major problem with our LG Refrigerator as the compressor failed and the replacement compressor has also failed and I have been without a refrigerator for over two weeks now.
This started in May with my ice maker not working,(this is not the 1st time this unit had been repaired) and LG sent a technician name Donald out to repair it on June 2nd.
As soon as he left I immediately knew that it had not been repaired properly as it was making so much noise. I bought the LG because I have severe Tinnitus and can not tolerate certain noises and the refrigerator was advertised as being one of the quietest on the market with its variable speed compressor. When Donald came back he said the new compressor would be louder and I would have to live with it. I argued that was not what I purchased and he was so rude and was in my face pointing his finger screaming at me that it would be over his dead body before I ever got my refrigerator working, at the time I really didn’t take his words to heart as I thought there would be no way one man could have that much control over whether or not I got my refrigerator working. It seems I was wrong, he is the only LG technician in the area and he refuses to come back to repair the refrigerator.

The refrigerator no longer holds temperature and both ice makers have stopped working. I paid for a local repair technician to fix it, he says the compressor is not working properly, the ice makers will not work since it cannot hold temperature and the compressor is under warranty so LG should repair it. I had my family in town for their annual vacation with us and we lost all of our food and we are working out of a cooler now instead of our $3200 refrigerator.

I have called everyday for 2 weeks to get this resolved, spent hours on the phone and here are some of the responses I received from customer service.
1. You are so lucky you can afford a refrigerator that cost so much.
2. You have Buyers remorse, so sorry for the inconvenience.
3. You can call back in 24 hours and we will help you.

I could go on and on about this but I’ll stop here. We currently own 3 LG appliance’s, however the refrigerator has given us so much heartache. I can use help resolving this, your attention will be greatly appreciated and will restore my faith in the LG products. Could you please replace this refrigerator, research has shown this model has many compressor issues and I’m concerned we will be chasing this problem again and again.
