I just spoke to a customer service representative in regards to my card continuously being declined when I try to use my card online. This is ridiculous and embarrassing when your available credit far exceeds your purchase. I have to now sit on the phone each time and confirm it was actually me trying to access my card and agree to the transactions that I tried to make. The excuse given is because there was a high volume of transactions being made at the time. Huh? What does that even mean? And why would that affect me making a transaction on my card. Then when you call the customer service representative gets all defensive when you signed up for this job and know you should expect customers to be upset due to certain issues and it is your job to not take it personal and resolve the issue. I don't know what this customer service rep meant by that but if there is an issue with Merrick credit card transactions that is a company issue. If I choose to use my card excessively online and all my information matches....who are you to decline and block my card. This is the 3rd time I have experienced this in a months time. This is ridiculous. I couldn't even use my card in Google Pay. That should be a major problem and that's why I am writing a google review.
