I’m a current auto policy customer of Root Insurance paying around $400 per month. I opened a claim about a month ago and provided all the necessary information. However, the way they handled the claim - gathering excessive information, conducting extensive investigations, then putting it in pending status, and finally concluding with a ridiculous letter stating I didn't fully cooperate - was truly torturous. It wasted a lot of my time. This experience has made me regret switching back to this insurance provider. Now, I feel insecure, fearing they may easily refuse to take responsibility if anything more serious and new also happens. It's incredibly frustrating.
