This is the 'worse' financial institution ever!! Do not take any credit cards, do not finance any amount of money with Synchrony Bank unless you want to be taken for a ride!!
I opened an account and soon after I moved. I gave Syncrony Bank notification and my information was changed. Since I was moving, my mind was everywhere no I misplaced my card ( that I later found in my car). I asked for a new card and it was sent to my new address. When I went to use the card it was declined and I was directed to call the fraud department. This was around the 16th of November and I was asked to do back flips and send videos and IDs and utility bills to prove my address. Today is December 6 and I am still not allowed to use my card. If my moving was suspicious, ( and I am SO sorry I moved) why would you send a new card to that address? Now mind you, I am guessing as to the reason they are suspicious of me all of a sudden. I worked as a fraud analyst…..but to not even tell the customer why you are suddenly treating them like they are no longer your customer that you wanted to used your credit card just feels offensive. It’s holiday time, I just moved and need things for the new home. And now I am a suspect? It’s horrible that updating Syncrony Bank of your address change, changes the type of customer service you are entitled to. Advice; don’t tell them you moved. Just keep using your old address so you are a liar…..but can still use the card.

one star is to good open up a store account paid to early and they started charging out of this world late fees ,paid up they still say we owe them...wish I had read all the reviews sooner...
I can't get alerts regarding the use of my credit card. I have had several times with service representatives to to obtain resolution. suggests that the bank has no interest in partnership with credit card holders to address fraud.
A rating of one star is too much for this inept bank! If you have a problem it it impossible to reach a real live person on the phone. Instead you get a robot whose options to help do not contain the problem you are calling about. If you are so lucky to finally reach a real live person, they are clueless. Problem: my current statement is not online and no one seems to know why or what to do about it except to repeat endlessly that I should log into my acct (I AM LOGGED IN) and then go to statements (I AM ON STATEMENTS).... 19 times the same stupid answer. I can't close my account fast enough.
I completed an application 1/13/2022 with Care Credit (Case # 022324144 for an upcoming dental surgery. It was denied. I called Customer Service and was told that the rejection would be mailed out to the correct home address within 7-10 business days. I resubmitted the application again on 1/19/2022. Denied with a credit rating of 815. Called and was told that the rejection letter would be received within 7-10 business days. Neither of the rejection letters have been received. I called again on 2/2 and 2/3 and was told that the rejection letters would be received within 7-10 business days. I was told to submit another application letter which I did. The application was denied because "Prior application submitted too recently". Stupid I called again on 2/8/2022 was told another letter would be received within 7-10 business. The mailing address was confirmed 3-4 times and I have not received a reason for the rejected application since 1/13/2022. Can someone help me at Synchrony Bank? I would never recommend Care Credit and Synchrony Bank to any of my business associates, friends, relatives and co-workers.
Had a bad experience trying to open a high yield savings account. As a current customer I was put on hold once I reached a real person. I was really disappointed with run around & finally said cancel my new savings application. Evidently they don’t want my business. Poor treatment for a existing customer. Very dissatisfied & went to another Bank who welcomed me.
If I could give them a 0 rating I would. I have two accounts that had credit limits lowered. No reason. No advance notice. Cannot call them. They then closed the two accounts. No reason. I have paid these 2 accounts and never missed a payment. I had one for Rooms to Go. I had it on auto pay for $20 per month. I checked my bank and they pulled the balance of $276 from my bank to pay the account off! I called them and on hold for 4 hours. Facebook is no good and their online chat line is no use. I called my bank to dispute the charge. I am filing a complaint with BBB. I find out they have had a class action suit against them. Maybe they are broke and need to steal customer's money to pay off the people who won against them. I never received any notice of the class action suit. Stay away from them. They are thieves and liars. When financing please take notice who they are using to finance what you bought. Get your own financing or just pay cash.
It is a disgrace that i have requested to speak to a representative at the corporate level of Synchrony bank and it has become impossible...i have 6 active accounts with this institution and no one has the common courtesy to return a call... i will be closing all my accounts...Maybe now someone will reach out...as for Mr. Brian Double I wrote a letter with no response..
