@AlaskaAir . Had horrible experience with Alaska airlines this morning. Traveling to Kelowna, Canada from DTW via Seattle. First of all, when we checked in online, it asked to pay for check in bag online which we did. Because my husband is USA permanent resident, online check in system indicated to verify passport and PR card at the airport (which is understandable). When we arrived at the airport, it took check in people 40 mins to process us. They told us that we did something wrong online, but clearly the person who was checking us in did not what she was doing. Finally, she verified my husband info but then as I asked for my boarding pass, the customer service lady started yelling at me. She was saying that I never told her I was traveling too, even though our itinerary was together.... Then she gave us wrong boarding pass. We had to exit TSA line to go back to Alaska counter. We were almost going to miss our flight. No should experience this kind of service, it's hard especially when you are traveling with an infant.

Gentlemen:
My husband, an Alaska Native, has been flying Alaska Airlines since the 1970s. He has more than 375,000 lifetime miles on Alaska Airlines, and has flown almost 100,000 in the past year. I booked two more trips from the lower 48 to Alaska in April and August of this year and paid about $2500 for each trip recently. Two days after I paid for these trips, we received an email from Alaska Air saying his trips were cancelled and they would refund our money as he had been banned for two years due to "an incident" on a flight in November 2021. This was the first notification we had received about this supposed "incident". The only thing he can think of is when he got up to deplane after flying for ten hours and stumbled when he tried to walk. He said he put his arm out to try to catch himself, and a flight attendant in the area, threw her arms back and yelled, "don't touch me!" He wasn't trying to touch anyone, he was trying not to fall. If this was the incident in question, I can't believe he would be banned without any notice or questions, or even being pulled aside at the time. What kind of airline cuts off a passenger that has been a loyal customer for decades without any explanation? I am so upset about this, as this is the only airline that flies to the city he works and lives in many months of the year. What kind of redress does he have? Why wasn't he notified or questioned? How can you put an Alaska Native on your planes yet treat a lifelong Alaska Native customer like dirt? I tried to give no stars, but had to put one on there to submit this review.

giving it a one-star review because there is no way to do a no-star. I was supposed to fly home on Alaska air from my grandmother's funeral but wound up having to take a different airline flight. When I contacted their customer service to inquire about a refund of my baggage fee and reimbursement of my dinner after being stranded overnight 2300 miles from home, among other issues I was offered a full refund of the flight and the other things I was asking about by the customer care agent. Then, less than 24 hours later they rescinded that refund and tried to substitute a "travel discount" on future travel. When I called back I was on the phone with what I thought was a customer care agent because that was the number I called, but 45 minutes into the call he informs me that he is a reservation agent and can't help me, I have to call customer care, or go online and email them!!! When I finally got through to an actual customer care agent I was informed that because I had completed the trip on another airline (after having no choice because Alaska had no flights for ANOTHER 24 hours) did not qualify for a refund, and that I had been "misinformed" read bait and switch) by the first agent who offered the refund. I will now be filing a complaint with my state AG along with the USDOT... This is unacceptable
I have been flying with Alaska Airlines since 2016. This last flight from Burbank to Portland had a very aggressive attendant at your boarding area. She demanded that I had a carry on which I have flown with for over several times on this particular aircraft fit that I checked it in. I mentioned that I didn't want to. She got very nasty I was just about to board and there was a line forming behind me as well as I wanted to comply with your policy. I checked the bag. When I picked up the bag at baggage claim and got to open it I was robbed by your staff! I had stuffed toys and jewelry taken from my bag.
If the passenger flying with your company has to go through this terrible situation you need to focus on your staff stealing from your customers. I am going to make sure that the public is very aware of airline staff stealing from baggage! I am going to make my claim with baggage but I am also going to make this public.
Terrible customer service!
Really disappointed nothing I can say could make it better!
Alaska Airlines leaves a lot to be desired
Terrible service in Cancun!!!! Never again will I fly Alaska I have many options.
Mr. Tilden,
I recently had some friends visit us in Haines, Ak from Calif. They left yesterday to go home. They were to fly from Haines to Juneau where they were to catch their AKAir flight at 1:40 pm. Unfortunately their flight from Haines couldn't fly out of because the plane they were on couldn't fly out of Juneau because of weather and they missed their AKair flight. Understand please that no one outside of Juneau trying to get to Juneau for one of your flights got there yesterday, until late in the afternoon. When my friends went to the counter the agent, instead of handling it his/herself, told them to call the 800 #, when they did they were charged an extra $100 each, so not only did they have to stay at a $250 a night hotel they were charged more for their flight which incidentally is the same flight only a day later. I just talked to your manager at the Juneau airport who told me the agent could have changed their flight and not charged them but that causes an "audit" and if that agent has enough of those they are reprimanded. That is so wrong. This whole thing is wrong, you need to fix it.

Most amazing people work at Alaskaair. Treat you like part of the family. Prior to working for Alaskaair I traveled a lot for business and always used Alaskaair as my airline of choice. Always a great experience. As a retiree the company includes us in benefits. Crews are wonderful and support employees work hard and are appreciated. Doesn’t feel like a corporation. All my friends fly Alaskaair.
