Avnet is a Fortune 100 company and provides great paying jobs for hundreds of people in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. They treat women and men equally and provide a pleasant, clean working environment for their employees. Typical rewards for employees include all expenses paid trips to places like Hawaii for over two hundred people at a time.
One year my wife was selected for this honor and it was fabulous. The persons selected for this honor are allowed to bring one person of their choice to the award junket and this too is all payed for by the company. The award dinner was followed by a private party in which the Band Styx played for the attendees. Basically it was a private Rock Concert. This is not unusual but rather the norm for the lengths that this wonderful company will go to show the companies devotion and appreciation towards recognition of its star employees.
Avnet routinely hands out smaller awards to its dedicated employees like gift certificates, Starbucks gift cards, and other tokens of appreciation for deserving staff members as well as retirement plans, medical plans, and other perks that makes this company shine. They truly share the wealth with those that are part of the Avnet team.
Kudos to a top notch American company. God bless you Avnet for providing jobs not only in America but also in dozens of other countries around the world. If other companies would follow the Avnet model this world would be a better place.
