For while their customer service was sketchy like most. But they stepped it up and for the last 5 to 10 years they have been very good to excellent work with.
I was scammed on Labor Day. To date I have NOT been able to get thru to speak to anyone in regards to the status of my claim; not even a branch customer service representative could assist. The only available phone number is pre-recorded and appalled to say the least at the lack of customer service and compassion as a 20 year Bank of America customer I would have thought their service would be better. To add insult to injury the telephone number listed for Bank of America headquarters is an invalid number. I researched to find out how to get a status of my claim-of course you are expected to do everything online; the instructions tell you to check claims messages and to my devastating surprise there was absolutely nothing listed. I was clearly given a claims number after speaking with client protection services on 9-6-22 only to be told at the branch on 9-16-22 that my claim was denied and that because my compromised account was frozen only the digital fraud claims department has the authority to transfer the funds into my new account. I am retired, on a fixed income that is automatically deposited once a month. This situation is beyond frustrating and the feeling of hopelessness from Bank of America's lack of customer service is mind-blowing, I am literally at a loss for words.

The worse customer service support I have ever encountered.
Trying to reach someone at BOA is impossible. I am now at more than 23 minutes on hold listening to "The next available agent will be with you shortly." I thought Wells Fargo was bad, but this is ridiculous. And yet, I get constant offers in the mail from BOA to get me to open more accounts, more charge cards, re-fi my mortgage. They need to get their people to quit spending time on mail outs and service the business they alreay have.
