Slow to respond, not responsible, very unprofessional company.

I transferred $50,000 from my regular bank account to Citibank. I opened an account online and made a onetime transfer. I received confirmation of the account and a debit card. I made no other transactions. Several weeks later I received an email stating that the account had been blocked temporarily for suspicious activity. I called the number given to find out what was happening. I was passed from person to person, all asking several questions but answering none. I asked about the activity and the balance and the reply was that I had violated the terms of the agreement with Citibank. They were forcibly closing my account. That this would take 60-90 days. I asked why but was just read the script” you have violated the rules”.
I asked when I would get the money in the account. I was told that after their investigation, IF there was a balance left they would mail it. I asked to verify where they would send it. They couldn’t answer that. I asked what the balance was, they couldn’t answer that. I asked if I could talk to a supervisor and was told no. I asked if they could tell me what suspicious activity had taken place, They couldn’t answer that. After 55 minutes of this they hung up on me.
I called back the next day. The same script was read over and over in answer to every question I asked. They again hung up on me.
The next day I received an email stating they were closing my account for violation of the client manual. They at no time told me what had happened to the account. I was given no opportunity to hear about the said activity. I was never told what the balance was or when I would receive it.
Talk about terible customer service. My husband has $600k in Citibank, but not for long. I guess they are so big our money doesn't matter. Not real smart.

I had check washing done to me and I can't get this resolved, they keep telling me that the investigation has been pending for almost a whole year, and a big corporate bank can't get an investigation done.

I opened an Accelerated Savings Account with a transfer of $100,000.00 from my primary financial institution. I wired an additional $15,000.00 in March 2022. In November 2022, I attempt to transfer an additional $85,000.00 to Citibank from my primary financial institution. The wire transfer was denied due to Citibank's input of the wrong account number. I tried to link several external financial institutions to perform the transfer. My Citibank Account will not permit me to link any outside institutions with my account. I am unable to wire money to, or from this account. I contacted customer support who was unable to correct the problem. Their solution was to send me a check that would take fifteen business days or three calendar weeks. I will lose days of interest due to the inability of Citibank to address their software problems which are due to a platform change in 2022.
