I was charged 169 dollars for no refund no help, awful treatment, it was 35 last year and the year before, my taxes were stolen in 2021, lost in 2022,and im so so ticked!

She stole 54 dollars , sent me awful messages . And declined to complete taxes SHE FILED ALREADY AND SIGNED FOR IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. I REPORTED HER. DONT USE HR BLOCK EVER .

Unbelievably incompetent, then to be overcharged for tax preparation. I would not have even used this company but had moved and needed someone right away. After contacting the company, never have received a call back.

Horrible! The "Tax-pro" filed my Federal and State returns without my husband & I reviewing the OR signing them. This was in February, it's now JUNE and I'm still working to resolve this issue. I talked to over 20 different people, all of which say they'll elevate my claim up the corporate ladder. No one has called back, EVER

I am writing to follow up on the multiple complaints I have filed regarding my unresolved issues
(Complaint IDs: 15947770, h16052832, 52390803, 16341793, 164521137, 16602235). As a Disabled
Native American with a transgender child, it is disheartening to see that my concerns have not been
adequately addressed. I have taken additional steps, including writing letters to your President and Chief
Executive Officer and posting on social media platforms, seeking assistance with this matter. The Layton ut , and the north Albany office needs to be held accountable 2020-2024 taxes they messed up on costed us FHA home in 2021-2022 and the lack of no one letting the companies know now make them reasonable . we sent letter to the HQ nothing now for over a year . making calls after calls . posting on their facebook twitter and all media nothing ,

Terrible experience. Paid for and used one of the advertised HR Block Tax Pros in Boone, NC to prepare and file our 2022 taxes for us. Shortly after we filed, we received a notice from the IRS that our returns were prepared incorrectly, contained errors; and that we over-paid our taxes but almost $700! as a result . The IRS issued us a refund check due to the incorrect calculations by HR Block, plus fined us. When we called the HR block corporate office about their accuracy guarantee (refunding tax prep fee and any fines associated with the preparation error),we were told me must follow-up with the local office, of which corporate set the appt for us to do so.
When we arrived to our appt, the office had no idea why we there and was very rude. We were told it’s up to corporate to honor the guarantee and accepted no accountability for their error, and said they would send on our complaint. Come-on HR Block, you can do better. You have lost a customer and will certainly relay our experience to others so they can avoid dealing with a company that doesn’t follow-thru and stand behind its guarantee and makes errors on their tax returns costing their clients money.

I first tried to file my taxes back in March with my senior tax analyst, Elizabeth Patterson. There were various holdups due to supposed technical issues as my taxes contained information from my previous job and residency overseas. There were long delays, missed phone call appointments, and finally she was able to file my taxes before the deadline in April. I never received a notification from the portal that was anything wrong but luckily I checked the portal and saw a red mark indicating that my taxes had been rejected. She resubmitted them and the tick marks turned green again on the portal and when I queried that the rejection text was still there, she told me it just had not refreshed but not to be concerned as she would monitor if they were rejected again. I never heard from her again, but also never received my refund and checked the portal again in May - the green ticks were still there stating I had filed, but when I expanded the box, the rejection text was still there. I phoned again only to find that Elizabeth is no longer active with your company and that my taxes had never been filed. I was assigned another tax analyst who missed the appointment and then finally got back to me and said he resubmitted them. Again, this didn't go through. I was told there were more technical issues, and that I was marked as DIY for filing my taxes - this was also incorrect as I paid $320 to have a tax analyst file these for me. I filed several complaints with your corporate number, but none of them were actually raised as a case until the 1st of June 2023 (case number 16705788). I was told I would receive a call back in 3 days but did not. I phoned back today to be informed that someone had tried to phone me once and left a message (I did not receive a voicemail at all, nor do I know what phone number tried to reach me) and the case was closed after their one supposed attempt to contact me. The customer service has been appallingly poor all throughout this process and I have tried to raise complaints time and time again since March but not one staff member has taken this issue seriously or dealt with it professionally, nor has a manager dealt with this. I have now had to raise a case with the Better Business Bureau as this is affecting my ability to purchase a new home as I cannot prove that I've filed my taxes. I'm baffled as to how you can operate as a tax company if you only can manage to process easy to file taxes? Can someone please take this case seriously?

I've utilized H&R Blocks services for years but I'll never use them again! Two separate HR Block representatives were trying to file my taxes online and gave me two different results. When I called to speak to them, they both said they weren't able to access my info because the other worker took over. It took me weeks to finally get Lauri on the phone, who finally told me she filed my taxes (without my consent/approval), and that my check will be mailed. I get direct deposit every year and would've told her that if she asked me before filing! On top of that it was an old PO Box on file, so now my return is lost. HR Block states that I have to wait for them to receive/locate the check or wait 90 days for the check to expire before they can do anything about it.. Its been over a month and I have no way of knowing when I can expect my refund ALL due to their mistake.

My taxes were messed up in ny state by multiple H&R Block employees. Still trying to get them to resolve their mess up! Obviously they do not train their employees very well. This has been an eye opener for sure on the professional level of this company.
