On July 26, 2023, I placed an order for a couch. I was initially given an estimated delivery date of August 8. However, a few days later, I was notified the item was on backorder and that the new delivery date would be October 26. This was nearly three months after my original order date. I reached out to customer service on October 5, 2023, where I was informed that the new shipment date would be between October 13-19. I expressed my confusion, as the website never indicated that the product was on backorder. Moreover, the website still displayed a shipment time of 3-4 weeks, which was blatantly false and misleading.
My frustration escalated when I contacted them again on October 20, 2023, and got hung up on after requesting to speak with someone from corporate. Subsequent calls resulted in vague answers and a lack of resolution. I was informed that they had been trying to contact the manufacturer, yet had been unsuccessful.
As of today, October 26, 2023, I am still without the couch I ordered or the refund which supposed to have taken 2-3 business days (now on day 5). This process has been such an inconvenience and is very frustrating. The blatant false advertising on the website only adds injury to insult.
I feel that this situation was handled in an extremely unprofessional manner. Such a delay in delivery coupled with poor customer service and misleading information is unacceptable. My trust in Wayfair has been severely compromised!!!

UPDATE: so I began my day by getting on my knees & asked the Lord to help me as I make more phone calls to try to resolve this. I spoke with a supervisor at wayfair that was more helpful than anyone in their stupid security dept. They are a joke. Then i spoke with someone in security dept at capital one who was very helpful & reassuring. So once again I'm hopeful this will be resolved. But, the sad thing is that wayfair nor capital one presses charges. I did find out that all the merchandise want to Indianapolis. Knowing this I still don't understand..wayfair says capital one presses charges (they don't) capital one says wayfair should (there security sucks) so this person that ordered that butt ugly green suede couch, dining set, refrigerator, bounce houses, etc gets away scot free. 😡😡

So I have fought wayfair for over a month about my fraud case. I've gotten no where. This is so stressful..because I deleted my account they won't give me the info I need to press charges. I've spoken to their security team 4 times. Can anyone recommend an attorney that handles cases like this. Right now I'm out $700 & will eventually have to pay several thousands if they continue to push. I really can't afford a high dollar attorney especially now but I can't fight this alone. Any recommendations?
I cannot believe a relative of mine is going thru this. I have gone onto Facebook to suggest ALL my friends delete Wayfair from their Apps, stop Credit Cards from Wayfair. But I’m far from finished with Wayfair!

Worst company. Do not be fooled by prices and delivery.
First they charge 149 to bring into your house and set up. Free delivery is to outside your house. What a joke. I ordered 2 recliners on Nov 30, 2022. I was told they would be delivered on Dec 21, 2022. I was notified that one was broken in transit. Then I was told that I would get a delivery of Jan 9. Did not get the delivery and email sent that there would be one recliner shipped. I called the company several times and confirmed that I would get 2 recliners delivered on same day. I cannot get in my account due to one if their employees messed up my email and I cannot open it. On Jan 16 th I got the delivery of one chair. They said there was only one. Wayfair had my money over 2,000 dollars and only one chair. I called Wayfair and a rude employee said I am sorry we cannot get another chair. I asked to speak to a supervisor she told me one was not available due to a holiday. I needed to talk to Ken. He new all about I told her I needed to talk to a supervisor today. She finally let me talk to Bisola. See he sent me other lazy boy recliners but I did not like any. The next day , I talked to Ken The person who knew all about this case. He had no clue. He told us the one he had at the warehouse was there for over 30 days, so he sent it back. He also stated that we could box up the chair and we would be responsible to send chair back. again asked to talk to a supervisor. I got Bisola. They continue to tell me they cannot get a chair. I asked to tall to her supervisor. She transferred me to Becky. Becky told me she called Wayfair and they had chairs but there was a problem in their computer. She would call me on Monday and reorder the chair. Never heard from her again. We left numerous messages on her voice mail on Monday. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thurs. I looked on line and called another corporate number. I got Tammy. She said she would call lazy boy and see if she could get one. Called me back on Fri. Morning. No chairs available . I just wonder why other furniture stores are able to get them. I told her I wanted a refund and pick up this other chair. There was nothing for compensation for all we went through after I asked. She said she could discount the next item I order. Really do you think I want ants from Wayfair again. This was my first and last order. They just recently laid off people and I can see why. Thus is a horrible company . Please be careful. They lie, they do not call you back and very rude employees.

Worst customer service, one of their managers even hung up on me, instead of trying to help. No wonder they have lost over 22% of their customers in the last quarter! Basically, they did not do what they said they would, and would do nothing to rectify the problem. I could return the item, which was arriving way past the said date, at my cost, when it was their error. Cannot recommend.

I am on your Corp Ofc Headquarters web page & called the number lister to find out it is customer service. That alone makes me think this is a shady company. Long story short - no exaggeration - I spent greater than 2 hrs trying to pay my bill. Because they could not text me a link - I was transferred 7 times & noone EVER took my payment.

Worst customer service ever!

The customer service regarding a damaged item was horrible. Also, the item was not delivered as described. Additionally, I ordered a blue bed and was sent a gray bed. Because I did not move and open my box within 30 days, they would not exchange the bed. Two light fixtures arrived without lightbulbs, and I purchased them on Amazon because Wayfair couldn't send them for a month. I made $9,000 in purchases and was treated with distain by Wayfair customer service reps.

Terrible customer service. The customer service team needs considerable training other jobs. It depends on who answers the phone whether the customer service representatives care about customers. Supervisors seem only to be employed to get rid of customer complaints without any satisfactory resolution.
